Cynthia McKenna is a SUCCESS Certified Coach and Team Lead of The McKenna Team at eXp Realty of Long Island. She began her career as a Structural Firefighter in the United States Navy, where she met her husband and started a family.. After raising her five children as a stay-at-home mom, she transitioned to the financial planning field with her husband. However, her passion for real estate led her to pursue a career in the industry. She became a Real Estate Broker and eventually opened her own brokerage in Port Jefferson, which she later sold to a regional company and stayed on as a manager. Seeking ownership again, she opened the first Suffolk County franchise of a large international company and built it to be one of the most successful in the region. However, when it came time to renew her franchise agreement, she felt it wasn’t the right fit and joined eXp Realty as their first Long Island broker.

Cynthia McKenna, a 3x Icon at eXp Realty, not only built a successful real estate team, but also mentored dozens of agents, leading her to become a SUCCESS Certified Coach. One of the most meaningful developments of her business was the fact that Cynthia was able to bring a few of her children into the real estate business. Along with her daughter, Shaughnessy Dusling, and son, Brian, they have been able to achieve great success in their profession.

In her free time, Cynthia maintains a working homestead in Yaphank, Long Island, where she raises a variety of animals, including goats, sheep, emus, and Clydesdale horses; and manages her own apiary. She is an avid mountain hiker who loves to spend time in the Smoky Mountains of eastern Tennessee or in the Adirondacks of New York. Additionally, she has taken up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Kick Boxing at Long Island Mixed Martial Arts, where her son, Hugh, is a professional fighter and personal trainer. All in all, Cynthia McKenna is a multifaceted individual with a great passion for family, real estate, coaching, homesteading, and fitness.
